A Panic Attack is one of the worst experiences a person can have. Some people become so frightened of having more panic attacks, especially in public, that they withdraw to their "safe zones", usually their homes, and very rarely leave them. This condition is known as "agoraphobia". The person with agoraphobia does not enjoy having their life so restricted. It's a depressing and miserable existence. It's the fear of having more panic attacks that keep them bound close to home. The good news is that these are treatable conditions that respond well to relatively short-term therapy. In fact, it is estimated that the appropriate therapy from a knowledgeable therapist helps close to 90% of panic sufferers!

I am what I call a "functioning agoraphobic", at the age of almost 32, where I still have rare bad days, and don't want to leave my safe home, but almost every day is a great one, so I don't mind. I have helped countless people do this in so many different ways; some using at-home relaxation methods, meditation, support groups, message boards, etc. The important thing is to get the info you can and I have ALL the info needed so that together we can find you the best route to recovery. I am dedicating all my webpages to my fiance, Chris, for all he did for me to support, encourage, motivate, inspire and love me throughout the times I was housebound. Yet he believed in me at a time when I was far too afraid to believe in myself. I am now able to do anything I so desire without the constant fears I had since I was 8 years old. I can take a bus, go to the movies, go out to dinner, go to the mall, go bowling and anything else that might come up. Such freedom I now have, thanks to Chris, my darling, for motivating me and finally getting me to believe in myself. I owe everything to him.
